Malta is the island of History, Sunshine and Beauty. Small in size, with a population of only 400,000 inhabitants, Malta offers a peaceful and friendly environment to its visitors. Malta has a history dating back to Neolithic man (circa 4500 B. C.) and is a treasure trove of Greek, roman, Arab, Phoenician, Punic and Carthaginian civilization which together with the Knights of Malta and British occupation’s history made our nation what it is today. Our country has limited number of trees and no rivers but boasts of clear and warm seas. For further information about Malta visit www.visitmalta.org. Our country is the ideal place to learn and practice the English language.
My favourite game is “The game of the months”. One puts 12 chairs after each other and name these chairs as different months, example: first chair is January, second chair is February, etc. Each player sits on one chair and „becomes“ that month. One of the players has to call out the name of a month. The other players have to go on the chairs behind their chair according to the order of the months. Example: one player calls out „August“, and the other players have to go on the chairs after the August chair in order, ie. continuing from September and finishing with July. The rules of this game are that the months have to be in order, and the last one who sits on the chair goes out of the game.
About the Czech Republic I know that this is a country in central Europe. The main language of this country is Czech and the currency used is the Euro. The Czech Republic has a temperate continental climate, with relatively hot summers and cold, cloudy and snowy winters. This country has one of the least religious populations on Earth.
The two leading sports in the Czech Republic are football (soccer) and ice
hockey, both drawing the largest attention of both the media and supporters.
Tennis is also a very big sport in the Czech Republic. The many other sports
with professional leagues and structures include basketball, volleyball, team
handball, track and field athletics and floorball.
My favourite game is this: Two Scouts are chosen to try and throw a ball at the rest of the scouts. They have to try and hit them from their necks downwards whilst the rest of the scouts can run around the room, dodging the ball.
These scouts can use their hands to knock the ball to protect themselves from being hit.
The two scouts who throw the ball can move around ONLY when they are not holding the ball and may pass the ball on to each other.
When all the scouts have been hit, the two scouts trying to „tag“ the others change so that everyone can take a turn in being the attacker as well as the defender.
My favourite Scout activity is canoeing.
About the Czech Republic I know very little about the Czech Republic and
the Czech Scouts. However, I am willing to learn more about your country,
as well as its history, beauty and culture.
My favourite game: The Three-Legged Race. Your left leg is tied to your partner's right one Races are held team against team Obstacles can also be organized to add a variation to the game The game can be played both indoor and outdoor The game can also be orgainesd as a relay when the couple that cross the finishing line untie their bond to their partner and hand this to two other team members who tie their bond and carry on the race.
The first whole team across the line are the winners
The scope behind this game is all about co-ordination, teamwork…. and winning!
Favorite Scout activity Well… Abseiling : ) as Malta offers the ideal situation to carry out this discipline
What do you know about the Czech Republic Not much to be honest…
It's in Europe and a member of the European Union…. And
it's next to Poland.
My Favorite Game
The Ping-Pong Ball game
One neeeds a ping pong ball, a leveled table, and 4 teams (sitting on the opposite sides of the table).
The aim of the game is to blow the ball off the table at any one side of the table, and where the ball is placed in the middle of the table and on the word, „go“ all team members try to blow the ball away from their side of the table and onto the other team's sides and off the table.
All members must stay seated with hand off the table.
Where the ball falls off the table, that team on that side is penalised 1 point and the game restarts until any one of the teams is deducted a total of 6 points first,
When this team has been penalised with 6 deducted points, the team who has the least points deducted wins the game.
What is your favorite Scout activity? Camping
What would you recommend to visit in your country? Ħaġar Qim Temples and the Blue Grotto
What do you know about the Czech Republic very little exceot that It is in the European Union
A co naopak? Co vy víte o Maltě? Můžete pátrat i během JOTI/JOTA!
